In order to make the most of your Bramblecrest product, we advise that you follow our simple care and maintenance guidelines below.
General
- For furniture assembly tips and advice, please visit our YouTube Channel.
- For spare parts, cleaning products and accessories please Contact Us.
- All products require a minimal amount of care and maintenance.
- We recommend the use of a Bramblecrest garden furniture cover when your furniture is not in use.
- Parasols should be closed and removed when not in use, especially in windy or gusty conditions.
- To avoid permanent stains, clean up spillages immediately.
- Avoid jet-washing your furniture as this can result in damage to surface areas.
- We would suggest cleaning your furniture with a non-abrasive sponge and lukewarm, detergent-free soapy water. Rinse with fresh water and allow to dry prior to covering or storing indoors.
- For service related enquiries, please Contact Us.
Woven Range
- Bramblecrest woven furniture is resistant to frost and UV light and can be left outside throughout the season.
- To clean the glass or ceramic table tops we recommend the use of any proprietary* household glass or multi-surface cleaner along with a soft sponge.
Marine Faux-Leather Range
- Faux-leather is water resistant; rainwater will run off the surface of the leather.
- Avoid sitting on the faux-leather when wet. When wet, dye from denim jeans can transfer onto the material and stain the faux leather.
- For light to moderate soiling, we suggest the use of Bramblecrest faux-leather cleaner, available from Just Outdoor - please Contact Us (carefully read the instructions on the reverse of the bottle).
- For stubborn stains, dampen a soft white cloth with a solution of 10% bleach and 90% water. Carefully rub the solution onto the affected area and immediately rinse with a damp wet cloth to remove the bleach concentration. For more stubborn stains increase the concentration of bleach and repeat these steps.
- Do not clean using alcohol-based cleaning agents.
- One of the best ways to keep faux-leather fabrics looking good, and to delay the need for deep or vigorous cleaning, is to wash down the faux-leather with a solution of mild detergent-free household soap diluted with warm water on a monthly basis.
- We recommend the use of a Bramblecrest garden furniture cover when your furniture is not in use.
Fabric Range
- Ensure spillages are blotted (not rubbed) with a clean dry cloth.
- Mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances if not removed from the fabric.
- For light soiling, use warm water and a soft scrubbing brush or sponge.
- For moderate to heavy soiling, we would suggest the use of Bramblecrest fabric cleaner, which is available from Just Outdoor - please Contact Us (carefully read the instructions on the reverse of the bottle).
- For more stubborn stains prepare a solution of 10% bleach and 90% water. Carefully rub the solution onto the affected area and immediately rinse with a damp wet cloth to remove the bleach concentration.
- Do not clean using alcohol-based cleaning agents.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and air dry.
- For severe mould/mildew growth, increase the strength and repeat these steps.
- It is always best to clean the entire surface area of the fabric to avoid water rings and stains.
Aluminium Range
- Remove general surface dirt using warm soapy water and rinse with a hose and a non-abrasive sponge.
- In coastal environments (where there is usually a high concentration of abrasive salt in the atmosphere) aluminium furniture should be washed down with fresh water and covered when not in use.
- If scratched, the paint can be 'touched-up' with a spray available from Just Outdoor - please Contact Us.
- For touch-up paint application advice, please Contact Us.
- We recommend the use of a Bramblecrest garden furniture cover when your furniture is not in use.
Teak Range
- Remove general surface dirt using warm soapy water and a stiff brush, rinsing off with a hose.
- To remove stubborn stains we recommend using fine sandpaper when dry. Sand with, not against, the grain.
- Bramblecrest does not recommend the use of a cover unless it is breathable and well ventilated.
- Bramblecrest does not recommend the use of teak oil - it can make the furniture turn black, sticky and patchy.
- When left untreated outdoors the teak will gradually mellow to a light silver/grey colour.
- When left untreated outdoors the teak will become rougher to the touch as the surface grain lifts.
- Small cracks can appear as teak adjusts to its new environment.
- Cracks can alter in size according to the ambient temperature and humidity. The cracks will not affect the structural strength of the furniture.
- For Bramblecrest teak care products, please Contact Us.
Season-Proof Cushions
- Bramblecrest cushion covers are water and stain-resistant.
- We advise cushions are stored away when not in use and/or during long periods of inclement weather.
- The majority of our cushion covers can be removed for hand-washing (using lukewarm water).
- Do not machine wash season-proof cushion covers as this may damage the water-resistant lining.
- We advise against leaving loose cushions stored underneath a furniture cover for long periods of time.
- Remove spillages immediately with an absorbent sponge or cloth.
- Darker cushion colours (e.g. grey) are more likely to fade in direct sunlight so store away when not in use.
- Although not water-proof, Bramblecrest ‘season-proof’ cushions can be left outside in showers. Should the internal filling become wet please remove cushion cover and allow to dry for at least 48 hours prior to use.
